Year 5 WEMA Christmas Event

Wed 10th Dec 2025
1:45pm - 6:00pm

Event Details

We are excited to inform parents that on Wednesday 10th December, all children in Year 5 have been invited to take part in the West of England Music and Arts Christmas Celebration at The Winter Gardens.

The event will be presented by children’s TV personality Naomi Wilkinson and supported by professional musicians. A variety of primary schools are attending and will perform as a mass choir bringing Christmas joy and a feast of seasonal goodwill.

Children will walk to the Winter Gardens following lunch, rehearse with the professional musicians and then perform in the concert. The concert finishes at 6:00pm the children will need to be collected from outside the Winter Gardens.

We are hoping all the Year 5 children will join us for this event. It will be assumed that your child is attending the rehearsals & concert and will be collected at 6:00pm from the Winter Gardens, unless you contact us by email at office@uva.clf.uk by Friday 28th November 2025 to notify us they will not be attending.

Those children not attending will remain in class and can be collected at the usual time of 3:15pm.

Parents and families are welcome to attend the concert and tickets are available to purchase; please access ticket sales using the following link: www.ticketsource.co.uk/west-of-england-music/t-xdvxxgm

Tickets cost £8.50 per adult and £4.50 per child.

If your child is entitled to pupil premium funding, you can book tickets free of charge. The link and password for this option will be sent separately to those parents whose children qualify.
