Term 1 Week 5

It’s been another busy week in year 3/4! As writers, we stepped into the shoes of Beowulf and wrote persuasive arguments to convince the Greats that he should be made king. We also began designing our own fearsome monsters to feature in stories inspired by Beowulf.

As scientists, we’ve been closely observing our caterpillars as they transform into chrysalises, and we created colourful posters to show what we’ve learned about insects. We also each researched an insect of our choice!

As athletes, we continued developing our hockey skills, practising dribbling, passing, and stopping the ball. We also worked on our coordination and balance, standing on one leg and building cone towers on our partners’ heads!

As mathematicians, we explored multiplying by 1 and 0 in our arithmetic lessons.
