After School Club
For parents requiring extended childcare at the end of the day, Uphill Village Academy offer an After-School Club every day, run by school staff on site.
The club offers a full range of child-centred activities, such as art & crafts, sports, games, reading and imaginative play, thus allowing the children considerable freedom of choice. We encourage physical activity and make use of the school’s playground, hall and field, whenever possible.
We offer a light meal at the end of the school day and the children have access to a range of healthy snacks and drinks during their time at the club; a sample menu can be found at the end of this information.
The club operates from 3.15pm until 6.00pm daily (Monday-Friday) during term time and costs £8.50 per child, per session. We do not operate on INSET days or during school holidays.
Our club is very popular and we operate a monthly booking system and to allow fair access for all families, are on a first come, first served basis; no family is given or should expect priority for their booking. If the club does not have a space on the requested day, you will be placed on the waiting list for the date you wanted and contacted if there is a cancellation.
We have four collection times available to parents, 4pm, 5pm, 5.30pm and 6pm, and you will need to select a time when making your bookings. The children will be brought to the front playground by a member of staff at your chosen time and prompt collection is necessary. There are no other times available and unfortunately, we cannot accommodate different pick up times on different days.
Children not collected within 5 minutes of the stated time will be returned to the club and leave at the next available collection time. This allows us to continue to operate the club with minimal disruption to staffing ratios, keeping your children safe. Your co-operation with this is greatly appreciated.
We have a late pick up charge for children not collected promptly at the 6pm collection time; a flat fee charge of £20.00 will be charged if your child is picked up after 6pm. This is to cover additional staffing costs that are incurred from a late collection.
Booking a Place
Children must be registered for After-School Club before parents are able to book a place. Please contact the school office team to register your child ([email protected]).
Once registered, places for After-School Club can be booked via the Parents Evening System www.uphill.schoolcloud.co.uk on a monthly basis. A short ‘booking window’ is available each month to book places for the forthcoming month only. Please see the timetable for ‘booking window’ dates; missing the booking window may lead to your child not being allocated the dates you require. Unfortunately, After-School Club is fully booked most nights, so we cannot accept children who are not pre-booked.

Input the details required to login; please note these must be identical to the details we hold on our central information system. For new EYFS children, these would have been taken from the information you provided when your child started school. If you encounter a problem, please email the school office on [email protected]
Booking options will only be available when the ‘booking window’ is open, otherwise the booking page will be blank.
Once you have made your bookings the system will send you an email to confirm the dates you have booked. If you do not receive this email, your bookings may not have registered, please check with the school office.
Payments, Amendments & Cancellations
Once bookings have closed, further requests for a place or any amendments to your booking will need to be made by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]
We require a minimum of 7 days’ notice to cancel a booking without charge and any requests for additional bookings will be subject to availability.
Fees are charged at the end of each month via our payment platform ParentPay, www.parentpay.com, and need to be paid within one week of being added to your ParentPay account. All parents should have activated their ParentPay account, if you need assistance with this please contact the school office team.
Please be aware that, if there is an outstanding debt on your child’s ParentPay account for After-School Club we will not be able to accept any future bookings until the debt is settled. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please speak in confidence to a member of the office team for further advice.
We endeavour to accommodate every request made for a place within our club, however high demand means this is not always possible. If you no longer require your child’s place, please let us know as soon as possible so we can assist other families that may be waiting for a place.
