Term 2 Week 1
It’s been wonderful to welcome the children back after the half-term break, and we’ve certainly hit the ground running!
As mathematicians, we have begun exploring area and investigating how the shape of an object affects its size. We’ve also experimented with creating different shapes that share the same area.

As writers, we have started our new story, Odd and the Frost Giants by Neil Gaiman, which will inspire our writing over the coming weeks.
As scientists, we have begun our new topic – Forces and Magnets. We learned that a force is a push or a pull that occurs when two objects interact with each other. We looked through a variety of scenarios and discussed in groups whether the action was a push or a pull or both.

As athletes, we’ve been playing football and developing our dribbling skills. In addition, we’ve started our new dance unit, which promises to be lots of fun!
