Term 2 Week 3
We’ve had another fantastic and action-packed week in Years 3 and 4, filled with exciting new learning!
As writers, we completed, edited, and published our final drafts of non-chronological reports about Viking Gods. The children produced work full of fascinating facts and beautiful writing.

As scientists, we explored the world of magnets, investigating which objects were magnetic and drawing conclusions about the materials that attract magnets.

As historians, we compared Anglo-Saxon and Viking life. We discovered that these two groups had much in common—many were farmers and skilled craftspeople, and not all Vikings were fierce warriors! We also learned that the Vikings spoke ‘donsk tunga’ (“Danish tongue”), while the Anglo-Saxons began developing the early form of English that evolved into the language we speak today.
