Odd Socks Day
This week was anti-bullying week and on Monday we all came to school with odd socks on! The event is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance and this year the week was focussed on the importance of acts of kindness, starting with ‘One kind Word’. We talked about bullying in our PSHE lessons and listened to Maya’s story. Ask us what our thoughts are about this when we get home!
Children in Need
Friday was Children in Need day and we all came to school wearing yellow, spots or Pudsey themed clothes. Thanks you for your kind donations towards this cause – we really appreciate your support.
Mathopoly
Over the last couple of weeks, we have been focussing on addition and subtraction in our maths lesson. To help consolidate these skills we played a game of mathopoly…
Work of the Week
This week, work of the week was given to:
Sputnik – Helen, for a fantastic piece of writing in role. She used fronted adverbials effectively, descriptive language and included details from our book.
Voyager – Sophia, for a brilliant plan towards her next piece of writing. We look forward to reading the finished piece next week.
Chandra – Darla, for some great work in art. She demonstrated a good understanding of proportion when sketching people.
