Term 2 – Week 3
This week is anti-bullying week!
This week we have all been learning about kindness. We started off our week wearing odd socks to school and learnt all about what bullying is in our PSHE lesson.
We discussed why people bully and what it feels like to see someone else be bullied.
Mrs Hodder lead a fantastic assembly all about showing kindness and how banter can hurt. We also joined a virtual assembly in the afternoon where we noticed something positive about our friends.
It’s also children in need day! We loved seeing everyone in their yellow, spotty or Pudsey clothes!
As writers we have learnt all about the Viking Gods in our story ‘Odd and the Frost Giants’. We have been researching the Gods to find out as much information as possible ready to write a non-chron report next week.
In Year 3 maths we have been practicing to subtract using exchanges. Drawing it has helped us understand our formal written methods…
As linguists we learnt the French words for rooms in our houses. After we practiced these we started to create our own ‘dream houses’ labelling the rooms.
As part of our science learning we learnt about magnets and their magnetic fields. We had the opportunity to predict and test which materials would be magnetic or not.
