Term 2 week 4
Our last week of November …
As mathematicians, year 3 continued to recap and master our knowledge of using our column method to add and subtract.
As writers, we started our week by reading a variety of persuasive texts and identifying persuasive features.
We then used this knowledge to write our persuasive speeches for our book ‘The Queen’s Fool’.
As scientists, we have carried on with our topic of sound. This week we learnt how we make sound and understood how our vocal chords produce sound so we can speak.
As we approach the end of our enquiry question ‘How was the greatest monarch of the Tudor age?’ We are learning about the final monarch of that period. We created a fact file all about Elizabeth I using all of our learning from our lesson and researching to find out even more.
In our PE lessons, we have continued with our dance techniques as well as our netball skills.
As linguists, we recapped all of our learning of family members by playing a game of bingo.
