Term 2 – Week 5
What fantastic learners we are!
As citizens this week we read the book ‘dogs don’t do ballet’. We learnt about what it is to be assertive and to never give up on our dreams. We role played being told we can’t do something and then wrote a letter giving advice.
As athletes we have continued learning about shapes and movements in our dance lessons. We enjoyed creating circles with our learning partners this week and performing them to our class.
As scientists we explored compass points and how a compass works. We used magnets to make our own and found out that the earth is like a giant magnet.
In our English lessons this week we have finished reading our book ‘Odd and the Frost Giants’. We took notes, created a timeline and predicted what the ending would be. We are really excited to write our own chapter of the story next week.
As artists we focused on expanding our knowledge of colour wheels. We learnt about tertiary colours and mixed paints to make these.
As linguists we were extremely lucky to have the amazing Mrs Curtis teach us, we learnt how to say the alphabet and sang a song. We took this knowledge and could tell our friends how to spell our names.
