As it’s the penultimate week before the Christmas holidays,  we have been getting in the festive spirit in year 3/4 this week…

Christmas Jumper Day

This Friday we all came to school in our Christmas jumpers in order to raise money for Save the Children. The children looked great in their Christmas jumpers and we’d like to thank you for all of your generous donations to support this cause.

Christmas Treasure Hunt

The week ended with a chocolate treasure hunt – we hope you had fun and once again would like to thank you for taking part and raising money for our wonderful PTFA.

A musical treat…

In Sputnik this Friday, we were treated to some musicTerm 2 - Week 6 from Zachary and his trumpet teacher, Joe. They played jingle bells for us and it made us feel very festive indeed!

 

Work of the Week

Sputnik – this week goes to the whole class for some excellent work during our PSHE lessons. Demonstrating great skills as citizens of Uphill and for creating a paper chain showing all the reasons why they are special.

Chandra – this week goes to Elsie, Bobby B, India, Noah C, Jude, Ellis, Harry and Noah T for leading a fantastic debate about our project ‘Were the Vikings vicious?’

Voyager – this week goes to Teddy for a great piece of persuasive writing based on our project. It was well researched and included great examples of persuasive language and rhetorical questions.
