Term 4 Week 2
This week has been full of exciting learning across the curriculum!
As scientists, we explored different food groups and discussed what makes a healthy, balanced diet. Pupils worked together to sort a variety of foods into their correct groups before designing their own balanced meals. There was lots of great discussion about how the choices we make can help keep our bodies strong and healthy.

As writers, we continued our work on The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. The children began preparing their arguments for who they believe was Edward’s best owner—Bull or Abilene—using evidence from the text to support their ideas. We also analysed an example of a persuasive letter, identifying key features that we will be using in our own writing later this term.

World Book Day brought even more excitement! The children looked fantastic in their costumes inspired by favourite books and characters. We spent the day celebrating stories, immersing ourselves in reading, and reflecting on the importance of books in our lives. It was a wonderful reminder of the joy and imagination that reading brings.
