What have we been up to this week?

Year 3/4 were lucky enough to be invited to the Winter Gardens to join in with the ‘Big Sing’. We had a fantastic day of singing with a variety of schools from Weston.

As part of our enquiry learning, we had a debate about the impact the Europeans had when they went exploring. We thought about how Europe benefitted from these explorations but also what damage was caused. We shared our ideas as a class and had a debate in small groups.

We have been extremely lucky this week. We also had the NSSPEA come in to do some football with our year 3 and 4 girls. It was great to see their confidence and how much fun they had.

As writers, we have finished reading our book ‘Varjak Paw’ and started to plan our own stories inspired by it. We look forward to writing these next week.

As citizens, we have continued our learning on how to be healthy. We looked at a variety of different food and the sugar content within them. This helped us to understand healthy choices that we can make.

In our PE lessons, we have continued our gymnastic skills but have also introduced our rackets into our tennis lessons.
