Term 4 Week 4
Another fantastic week in Year 3 and Year 4!
This week, as writers we were inspired by our class book ‘The Miraculous Adventures of Edward Tulane’. We spent time reflecting on the story so far and imagining how we might continue Edward’s journey by creating our own additional chapter.

As geographers, we learned about the different time zones of the world, the Greenwich Meridian and why different countries experience different times. We also leaned why it is daytime in some parts of the world while night in others, and how the International Date Line works.
As scientists, we explored the digestive system. The children loved drawing each stage of the digestive process onto aprons—an enjoyable, hands‑on activity that helped bring their learning to life!

As computer scientists, we investigated branching tree databases. The children created their own classification trees using clear yes/no questions and worked hard to make them as efficient and well‑balanced as possible.
A brilliant week full of creativity, curiosity and learning!
