We have had a great first week back and have loved hearing all about the children’s Easter break.
As writers, we have started looking at a new book connected to our new geography enquiry ‘Where in the world is the Amazon found?’. We have read the book ‘The Great Kapok Tree’ which is set in the Amazon Rainforest.
As mathematicians, we learnt about perimeter this week which has been very exciting.
We are a ‘No Outsiders School’ and this week we read a book called ‘Shu Lin’s Grandpa’. This story was all about a new child at a school who didn’t speak English but the children were able to communicate through art. Year 3/4 created their own art work inspired by the art seen in the book.
As scientists, we started a new topic all about plants and the water cycle. This week we recapped our knowledge about the parts of a plant and their functions.
As athletes, we have continued to develop our tennis skills.
