Term 5 Week 3
Another busy and productive week in class!
As writers, we have been writing our persuasive letters calling for greater action to protect the environment. This work has been inspired by our class book, This Morning I Met a Whale. The children have impressed us with their thoughtful ideas, strong arguments and excellent use of persuasive language.

As mathmeticians, Year 4 have been exploring angles — learning what they are, identifying them, and using the correct vocabulary such as acute and obtuse. They have also been practising ordering angles. Meanwhile, Year 3 have been developing their understanding of fractions, including ordering both unit and non-unit fractions.

As geographers, we have been researching the similarities and differences between Spain and the UK, with a particular focus on school life. The children were especially fascinated to discover that, in some parts of Spain, many children go home at lunchtime before returning to school later in the day!
Well done to everyone for their hard work this week.
