As scientists we have observed our celery and found out our first experiment didn’t work, so we have changed the celery that we have used to see if it is successful this time. If not we will continue to change what we observe.

As writers, we finished our letters to the man who tried to cut down the Great Kapok Tree. We used lots of emotive language and persuasive techniques before publishing them in our books.

In maths this week, we practiced our arithmetic skills by playing a game of snakes and ladders. It was great fun!

In PE we continued to practice our ball skills, making sure we keep them under control with great accuracy. We also played rounders again this week to link the lessons together.

As citizens, we learnt how to stay safe online. One of the main outcomes of the lessons was learning not to share private information about ourselves where people can see it. This can be our full name, birthday, age and which school we go to.

As linguists, we have been learning how to translate a famous story. We have read the French version of The 3 Little Pigs and found familiar and new words. Using this knowledge we then sequenced the French story. Next week we will be practicing and performing the story in French.
