Term 5 – Week 4
It’s been a great week in Year 3 and 4. In maths the Year 3’s have been practising short and expanded method for multiplication while the Year 4’s have begun learning about the different types of angle and comparing obtuse, acute and right angles. English has seen the children write their own ‘quest story’ having studied, ‘Sophie’s Quest’ as inspiration.
In science we have been learning about the life cycle of plants as well as checking in with our ongoing experiment and making observations about the effect of sunlight on the growth of plants.
We have also looked at botanical drawings in art – developing our skills so we can produce some rainforest art based on the work of Henri Rousseau.
The children have also continued to compete in our Uphill Runs the World contest.
Finally, many congratulations to the children who completed ‘Bikeability’ last week – your badges and certificates were well deserved!
