Term 5 Week 5
It’s our final week of term 5!
A new group went to forest school this week and loved exploring our pond area.
As writers this week, we have written a description of the Kapok Tree from our book. We used our senses as well as metaphors and similes to describe the tree in great detail. We practiced these skills with our partners first when we had to describe a picture for them to draw without seeing it.
As artists, we created some art about the rainforest inspired by Henri Rousseau. We first experimented with chalk and oil pastels, then studied some plants and flowers to draw them. Finally we created a rainforest picture using all of our skills.
In PSHE we have looked at the term ‘global citizen’ and discussed how we can be one. We also celebrated positive relationship in school and at home.
As linguists, we performed the story of the 3 little pigs to each other and recapped our french knowledge from this term.
