Term 6, Week 2

Its been another very busy and productive week in Year 3/4. In English we have continued to use ‘The Great Kapok Tree’ as inspiration for our writing. The children worked on their persuasive writing skills and wrote a letter designed to persuade the man at the centre of the story not to cut down the Kapok Tree. In maths, the children explored lines of symmetry using different 2D shapes.

It has of course been the Year 4 residential in which the children have been embarking on a wide variety of exciting and adventurous activities. Thankfully the whether has been glorious (if a little hot) and the children have been able to maximise their time and opportunities.

Back at school the Year 3’s have been working hard on a lapbook all about the Mayans. They were very creative!
