Term 6 Week 2
What have we been up to this week?
As writers we have practiced our noun phrase skills as well as our inverted commas in preparation for writing a myth story inspired by our book ‘Rain Player’. We also started planning our stories using our boxing up and story arch sheets.
As mathematicians, we continued to practice our fraction skills as well as learning about directions, turns and angles. We even made right angle checkers to find right angles around the room.
In science we learnt all about different clouds and their properties. We even went on a cloud hunt to see what different types we could see.
As athletes we have been busy preparing for sports day and practicing our activities for the big day.
In PSHE we have continued to learn how things grow, thinking about young animals/humans into older specifies.
As geographers, we have learnt about the impact humans have on the Amazon Rainforest. We then created a pledge tree to promise what we can do to help the environment.
As musicians we have been learning about rhythm and creating our own with partner .
