Term 6 – Week 3

We have had a great week in year 3/4. In science, we have continued our exploration of classification and went to the pond area to identify different mini-beasts and other animals. We then created a branching database to group these fantastic creatures according to their different characteristics.

In history, we looked at the many amazing achievements of the Mayans including the Mayan writing developed in 700BC, the first solar calendar in 400bc  and the first Mayan pyramids in 100BC. We created a timeline to but their major achievements and landmarks in chronological order.

In maths, we have been exploring lines of symmetry, folding 2D shapes.
