Term 6 Week 5

Another great week in Year 3/4!

As writers, we began planning our own stories inspired by the picture book Flotsam. The children produced lots of fantastic creative ideas, including mysterious and magical photographs that could be found on the washed up camera. We are looking forward to seeing these imaginative ideas develop into exciting stories next week.

As mathematicians, we continued our learning about time. The children practiced converting between analogue and digital clocks and developed their understanding of the 24-hour clock. They showed great perseverance when solving increasingly challenging time problems and are becoming much more confident in reading and converting different time formats.

In Science, we continued our exploration of electrical circuits. We learned about voltage and current and investigated how changing the voltage affects different components in a circuit. Through practical experiments, we tested what happened when we increased or decreased the voltage supplied to bulbs and buzzers, making careful observations and discussing our findings.
