Term 6 Week 6
What a fantastic week it has been in year 3 and 4!
One of the highlights was our Sports Day, where pupils demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, determination and enthusiasm throughout the day. The friendly competition between the houses created a wonderful atmosphere, and it was fantastic to see everyone giving their very best while cheering on their teammates.
As writers, we completed our own stories inspired by the book Flotsam. The children produced some outstanding pieces of writing, showcasing imaginative ideas, rich vocabulary and impressive descriptive language. We were delighted by the creativity and effort that went into their final stories.

As Geographers, we continued our study of the local area by exploring how Uphill has changed from the early twentieth century to the present day. We compared historical and modern photographs, identifying key developments such as changes to housing, the expansion of the school and the construction of the hospital. The children also thought carefully about the reasons behind these changes and how communities evolve over time.
Well done to everyone for another week of hard work and excellent learning!
