Week beginning 12th December
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We would just like to take the opportunity to say a big thank you for all of the cards and gifts that we have kindly been given by the children and parents this Christmas. It is very much appreciated especially during these difficult times so thank you very much.
Well, the last few weeks of this term have been very busy and exciting. Last Friday, children and staff came into school wearing their bright and colourful Christmas jumpers in support of the charity Save the Children. Yesterday, we had our Year 3 and 4 Christmas party. All of the staff were amazed at the wonderful dance moves demonstrated by the children and at how beautifully behaved they all were.
Many thanks to our PTFA who provided the party food which the children enjoyed.
Voyager also had a great time doing a Snowman drive.
Sputnik class were last week’s reading champions. Congratulations Sputnik!
As part of their enquiry, ‘Who was the Greatest Tudor Monarch’ the children made Tudor houses in Design and Technology. For some of them, it was their first time at measuring accurately, sawing wood and constructing a model using a variety of materials.
The finished results were absolutely brilliant.
