Week beginning 17th January
This week we have been busy writing warning stories in English. During Talk for writing, we learnt a story called ‘The Canal’. We performed the story, looked at the sequence of the story and we did some short burst writing. We created our own warning stories based on going to Weston beach, the woods, cliffs or a visit to Brean Down Fort. Finally, we edited, improved and published our final drafts.
Here we are editing and improving our work. We then shared our work with our talk partners.
In science, we continued to find out more about the human body. This week we have been learning the scientific names for our bones and then identifying these so we could label a human skeleton.
Here are some photos of us ‘balancing on a line’. This is the skill we are focusing on this term in our PE lessons. It’s harder than it looks so we practiced on our way back to the classroom too!
