Week beginning 25th April 2022

Welcome back to what will be a very busy, action packed term! We hope you all had a lovely Easter break and have had a chance to recharge.

This week we began our new enquiry, “Where is our place in Europe”, in which the children will be geographers, looking at the make up of the United Kingdom as well as the major European countries. We have also started a new science topic and will be looking at electricity. In English, we have begun our new book, “This morning I met a Whale” and our writing will revolve around, and be inspired by, this fantastic story.

It has also been a very active week, with the children continuing to take part in our, “Uphill Runs the World”, challenge as well as enjoying gymnastics and rounders in P.E. On Friday we we also lucky enough to be joined by the Somerset Cricket Foundation who took the children for a fantastic introduction to the game.

Its been a great first week and we look forward to the rest of the term!
