Week beginning 27th June 2022 - Uphill Village Academy

Its been another great week at Uphill with a number of new areas studied across the subjects.

In English, we started our new book, ‘The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane’. We have been exploring the main character and the children have been writing in role as Edward. In maths, Year 4 started looking at Position and Direction, and have been learning about co-ordinates and how to describe position on a grid. Year 3 on the other hand have studied mass and capacity, looking at grams and kilograms. In Geography we have been using maps and atlases to locate the countries of Europe while in science we have continued to study electrical circuits.

We have a very exciting week to look forward to with Sports Day on Thursday and hope to see lots of parents cheering the children on!
