Week beginning 30th January

In Year 3/4, as part of our theme in PSHE, ‘Dreams and Goals’, we have been finding out about Jane Goodall. She had a dream when she was younger to work with animals. She was given a toy chimp which she called Jubilee and this led to her love of chimpanzees. After finding out about her life, we thought about our own dreams and goals…

We have also been discussing how some people face challenges in their lives. We looked at pictures of 6 different people and debated who we though faced the greatest challenges so we could rank them. There was a lot of discussion about the different challenges that people face and how they might be able to overcome their challenges and we didn’t always agree on whose challenge was most tricky!

Year 3/4 have been working on the topic of ‘Rocks’ this term in Science. This week we have been investigating the permeability and density of different types of rock.
