Week beginning 4th April

Happy Easter!

Well it has certainly been a very busy end to the Spring Term.

Our enquiry project, ‘How is my body amazing?’ has come to an end. On Wednesday morning, we were delighted to welcome Jupiter and Pluto children into our classrooms to share our learning. It was great to see all the children’s enthusiasm and the joy that they showed in sharing their learning and knowledge with others.

We were also thrilled to be part of North Somerset music festival, ‘Raise the Roof’. Uphill Academy played host to the event and it was lovely to welcome children from Oldmixon and Windwhistle. Mr Parker from the Music Service led the event and we all joined together to sing songs about the elements and movement. Our favourites included, ‘Cells’ , ‘Earth’, ‘Movement’ and ‘Fire’.

This morning we celebrated the achievement of some of our children in our Awards Assembly. The children who received awards in Year 3 and 4 were Fin Norman for P.E., Sophia Lloyd for Citizenship and Jude Clements for English. Congratulations, Jude, Fin and Sophia.

Well done to all of the children in Year 3 and 4 for all of your hard work over terms 3 and 4. Have a well deserved rest and enjoy the Easter break.
