Week beginning 4th July 2022
Its been another very busy week, culminating in sports day on Thursday. The children had a great time and participated with huge enthusiasm and determination. It was lovely to see so many examples of great sportsmanship and the children finally being able to compete in front of their parents once again. A huge congratulations to all of them.
Away from sports day, we continued with or story, ‘The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane’, and created freeze frames from scenes within the book. We also planned a diary entry from the perspective of Edward, which will be completed next week.
In maths, the Year 4’s continued with position and direction and were using co-ordinates to draw shapes on a grid as well as describe the movement of objects on a grid. The Year 3’s continued their learning on mass and capacity. We will all be back together in classes next week where we will be learning about time.
We are really looking forward to our Geography trip next week where we will be heading to the beach to identify the human and physical features. It is looking like it will be very hot and sunny so please make sure the children have sun cream on and bring a hat.
Have a great weekend.
