Week beginning Monday 20th June 2022

Its been another busy week at Uphill. In maths, we identified and described 2D and 3D shapes and the children constructed their own using nets. Everyone was very engaged and it was a great way to end the geometry and shape maths block. In English, we wrote our own story based on, ‘The Magician’s Shop.’ The children generated some fantastic ideas for their stories and showed great creativity and imagination in coming up with the magical items that could be found in their shops.

In geography we learned about the different time zones around the world and that all time zones are based on Greenwich Mean Time. The children calculated the time in various cities at different hours of the day. In P.E the children enjoyed rounders and tennis while in ICT this week we continued to look at simulators.
