Term 1

We are excited to have a space to be able to share all of our exciting P.E news here at Uphill Village Academy! We will update what we have been doing each term, including at out of school events, afterschool clubs, intra-school competitions and P.E lessons!

We had a very busy term 1 with lots of children attending a variety of events outside of school.

We began the year with a Year 4/5 Fun Fitness Festival at St Katherine’s School. We got to try out a variety of new activities such as rowing, skipping.

We then had two football tournaments- one being a girl’s football. This was great as it meant the our girls football club who had been training were able to get involved in playing real matches against other schools They got stuck in, played amazingly and most importantly, had a lovely time!

Finally, we ended the term with the Year 5/6 Primary Cross-Country Championships. All of the children represented UVA incredibly well and we were very proud of the courage and resilience that was shown. We even had three children make it to the Championship finals which are being held in March- good luck!
