Term 2

Term 2 was another busy term with lots of events going out.

This term we were lucky enough to have Mark from North Somerset P.E come in to deliver some Girl’s football sessions to years 3, 4 and 5. The feedback from everyone was amazing and we were so impressed with those children who were apprehensive to begin with but gave it a try and really enjoyed it! We have had a few girls keen to play football after these sessions which is wonderful.

We had our whole school ‘Wake and Shake’ which we very much enjoyed. We are looking forward to the next one!

Despite the weather, we did managed to run a lot of laps around the track to contribute to ‘Uphill Runs the World’ and have made it to the next continent!

We have all had lots of fun in P.E this term, again despite the weather! We had done a range of sports across the school such as football, netball and dance! We have continued to develop our fundamental skills and use the RealPE cogs in other subjects to help us with our learning.

This term we enjoyed many extra-curricular after school clubs. We had Cross Country Club, Girls football club, Benchball club and started Dance club!

We also attended a KS1 multi-skills event this term. 8 Year 2 children represented UVA at Hutton Moor completing a carousel of fun sports and activities. They had a fantastic time.

We ended Term 2 with a Year 5 athletics festival at Hutton Moor. Everyone got stuck in and had a brilliant time trying something new!
