Week 5

At the end of week 5, Year 5/6 can be pleased with what they’ve achieved.  Both the Year 5s and the Year 6s completed assessments and showed an excellent attitude.  They were focused and determined to do their best.

As scientists,  all classes completed investigations of conductive materials, using a circuit to test different objects to see if they completed a circuit and lit up the lightbulb.

As writers, we continue to practice our handwriting skills.  Even in Year 5/6, it is important that the children keep focused on developing their handwriting so they are writing with joins at speed.

As speakers, we used our talk tactics to have a debate about the pros and cons of fox hunting.

As designers,  we developed our plan for a stone age purse and created prototypes.  This really helped us to understand what we need to do when we make the real thing.
