Term 1 Week 6
Well, what a week! With Ofsted in on Tuesday and Wednesday, the children have done their bit and been brilliant. Lots of Year 5/6 children were asked to represent their year group and talk to the inspectors about various aspects of being a child at UVA. We were so impressed with their confidence and willingness to talk all about their learning and experiences.
As historians this week, we have continued our work about the Nile and the three ancient Kingdoms. The children used their models and their research to answer questions.
We began to explore pyramids – why they were built and how they were built.
We also unwrapped an orange that some Year 5/6 children had mummified over two years ago to see how it looked. It was perfectly dried out and well preserved!
As scientists, we were learning about the processes of all living things using the acronym MRS NERG
