Term 2 Week 2
We’ve had a great week in Year 5/6, with lots of hard work amid bikeability and poetry learning.
As cyclists, some of the Year 6 children braved the weather and learned some valuable skills to keep themselves safe on the road.

As scientists, we learned about gravity and air resistance and conducted an experiment by folding a piece of newspaper and timing how long it took to fall to the ground.

As historians, we learned about some key events of the Roman period and placed them on a timeline. We also used atlases to locate Rome and identify the river that runs through it.

On Tuesday, our house captains and vice captains represented the school in the village remembrance service on the hill. They were brilliant and recited the poem Poppies really clearly.
