Term 2 Week 5

Week 5 has been super busy as we build up towards Christmas.

As writers, we have been preparing for our writing week next week, so we’ve covered a lot of grammar, including creating banks of persuasive words and phrases we can use.  In addition to that, all of the children completed the 2024, Year 6 SPaG paper on Monday which has really helped us to identify areas of strength and areas to work on as we move into the new year.

As citizens and scientists, we covered some of the sex education element of the National Curriculum on Thursday and introduced some key vocabulary and the major changes that happens to boys and girls during puberty.

As historians, we have discussed the significance of the Roman Empire  – specifically in relation to the army, architecture and innovations, language and government and law.
