Term 2 Week 6

Year 5/6 had such a busy week; there was lots going on as we creep closer to Christmas.

As performers, the Year 5s walked to the Winter Gardens and took part in the delightful carol concert with children from other schools and an audience of lots of parents.  It was a long, tiring afternoon but they did really well.

We rehearsed for the carol singing to parents at the beginning of the Christmas fair and then, on Friday, the children then kicked off the event in a beautiful, festive way.

As artists, we continued to practice sketching facial features as we work towards creating portraits.

On Thursday, we were pleased to invite parents in to classes to learn a little about how we teach the wider curriculum subjects, such as history, geography, philosophy/RE and art.  Thank you to those who were able to make it and we hope you enjoyed looking through some of your children’s work.
