Term 3 Week 1
Week 1
It was great to welcome the children back on Tuesday and hope everyone had a good break and a chance to recharge. We were impressed with how well the children got back into learning routines.
We have enjoyed starting our new line of enquiry, which is called ‘How Does Our World Rage’. During this enquiry, the children will mainly be geographers as we learn about natural features of the Earth. After half term, we move onto learning about rivers and end with a field trip to Nettlecombe Court in Somerset to conduct a study of a real river.
As scientists, we have started learning about the classification of living things. This week we learnt three of the five Kingdoms: Animals, Plants and Fungi.
As artists, we began exploring shape and tone
As athletes, we started the new year with a running challenge and discussed how many people have a new years resolution to get fitter. We completed lots of laps of of the track.
