Term 3 Week 4
This week, Year 5/6 have started to bring their Roman enquiry to an end. The children have begun to represent their learning from the last two terms in a double page spread in their books. For this, they have used pictorial hints about what they have covered and are annotating this with information they can find and recall.
As scientist, we build on our understanding of mixtures and solutions from last week and used a variety of processes to separate various materials.

As writers, we completed a piece of narrative based on our book, ‘Roman Mysteries: Escape from Rome’ and then edited and peer edited with a partner.

As citizens, we explored where power stands in different social scenarios. We discussed when power is used for good and when it is not. We also discussed different ways people can change the power balance in situations in order that we are protected from its misuse.
