Term 3 Week 6

Happy half term!

The children have worked hard for the last six weeks and thoroughly deserve a week off.  We hope you all get to spend some valuable time together and the children have a chance to have fun, relax and recharge.

This week has been Children’s Mental Health Week and the classes discussed the concept of ‘My Place’.  We covered the importance of having people to talk to, doing things to help others and having a sense of belonging.  The children had some quality time to reflect and represent their ideas by drawing and illustrating ways they can support each other and what ‘Their Place’ is.

It was also Safer Internet Day on Tuesday and the children learned about staying safe when using AI tools.

Our Year 6 Online Safety Champions went to the younger classes and shared some stories about online safety with the children.  The champions did a great job and they had very receptive audiences.

As historians and performance, Year 5/6 enjoyed presenting their knowledge of the Ancient Romans to parents in the hall.  Thank you to everyone who was able to make it.  The children were nervous, but they really enjoy having an audience.
