Term 4 Week 2

We’ve had another busy week with and have worked well with the change to routine.  Because Mrs Haberfield is out at the moment recovering from her knee operation, we have split the Year 5s and Year 6s all week into their separate maths and English groups.  This has worked well and we have established a good routine.  In the mornings, the Year 6s are well focused and completing some good revision activities as we prepare them for their KS2 SATs next term.  The Year 5s have benefitted from being able to focus on just their Year 5 objectives.

As athletes, we have been working on ball skills and balances.

As readers, we have enjoyed reading week, including dressing up for World Book Day and listening to other teachers coming to read stories to us.

As writers, the Year 6 children enjoyed watching the short film, ‘The Girls and the Fox’ and wrote a narrative piece telling the end of the story.
