Term 4 Week 5

This week, Year 6 have come to the end of their last full set of practice SAT papers and we’re really pleased with the progress and stamina they are showing.  A lot of children have achieved their personal bests in maths this week and are enjoying the satisfaction of seeing all their hard work pay off. The benefit the children get from seeing themselves improve and the pride we see them show in their individual successes is immeasurable.

As scientist we have been exploring the Greenhouse Effect and learned about what causes it and some of the consequences of our changing climate.

As artists, we have been learning about the art of Claude Monet and this week the children started creating their own version of Monet’s famous poplar paintings.
