Week 6

So we’ve made it to the Easter break!  There’s been so much going on this term and the children have worked so hard, they thoroughly deserve two weeks off.  I think they need it too!

The highlight of this week must be our field trip to Nettlecombe on Tuesday.  The weather was fantastic and it was great to spend the whole day (apart from the rather long coach journeys) outdoors.  The children were able to revise some of their learning about river landforms and enjoyed splashing around in the water and taking measurements of depth and flow rate.

As mathematicians, the Year 5s were sorting regular and irregular shapes.

As writers, we were publishing our ‘stories for a younger audience’ into books which we hope to share with FS/Year 1 next term.
