Week 3

We hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and the children enjoyed an extra day off school. This week we have been through the final preparations for the Year 6 SATs next week and we have been so impressed by the children’s calm and focus right up to the end.  They are definitely ready for next week and I hope they can enjoy a relaxing weekend before the first paper on Monday.

This week, as historians, the children explored different ancient Greek city states, such as Athens, Sparta, Corinth and Olympia.  They researched the system of rule and the patron god of different cities and then had a democratic vote on which they thought was the best state.

As mathematicians, the Year fives were exploring capacity by using water and a variety of measuring jugs.
