Week 1

It has been great to welcome everyone back to school after the half term break, but hard to believe that we are now in the final term of the year. There’s a lot going on this term as we prepare the Year 6s for transition to their new secondary schools and rehearse for our end of year production.

As singers and actors, we began our rehearsals on Monday and were really impressed by how well the Year 6s already understand their roles. The next step is for the actors to learn their lines so that we can leave the scripts behind and start to really get into the parts.

As mathematicians, the Year 6s spent some time supporting the Year 5s through some of the harder questions on the arithmetic paper – making the most of their expertise before they go.

As historians, we were learning about the ancient Greek gods and goddesses. We retrieved information and started creating booklets full of god/goddess fact files.
