Week 7

Our final full week! We’ve had lots to pack in to this last few days and the children have kept themselves going right to the end.

As mathematicians, the Year 5s have worked hard on their arithmetic skills to prepare themselves for Year 6 while the Year 6s have been rehearsing their leavers assembly.

It has also been art week and, as artists, the children learned about Yayoi Kusama (a Japanese artist who suffered with hallucinations and started seeing all human life as dots). The children created a page in their art books reflecting on and appreciating the artist and then created their own works inspired by her.

As part of art week, we set the school up as a gallery and rotated around, looking at the work inspired by different artists that different classes created.

As designers, the Year 5s have researched, designed and started creating their own cam toys.
