Term Five Week 1

Welcome back to school after the Easter break – we hope you all enjoyed the two-week holiday. It has been great to see all the Y5 and Y6 children engaged with their learning this week and enjoying the field at break and lunchtimes.

As readers, we have been looking at texts which are lyrics of songs and discussing vocabulary which has been used to communicate feelings and to tell as story.

In PE, the children have been creating their own warm-ups and leading the class in preparing for their activity. We used various music hits to warm-up to!

As mathematicians, Y5s have been revising how to add and subtract decimal numbers and have given some great explanations of their thinking using sentence stems.
