Term Five Week 1

Welcome back to Term 5 – we hope you all enjoyed the Easter break! It has been lovely to see all your children back in school and we have started off in a positive manner.

Our enquiry for this term is ‘Have we made the world a better place?’ during which we will be exploring the issues around climate change and discussing the concepts of continuity, change and consequence. As geographers, we began by asking ourselves the questions what do we know already and what do we want to know about climate change?

Our Talk Tuesday discussion involved us having a conversation in our talk triads around words we would use to describe ourselves. The class Talk Detectives monitored how we used our bodies to enable successful talk: hand gestures, facial expressions and body language.

We have started reading The Last Human by Lee Bacon as our quality text for this term. Already we have began to think about the impact humans have on planet earth.
