Term Five Week 4

It has felt as though the sun has shone this week at school while our Y6s have shown courage, determination and focus during their SATs. We are all so proud of them for getting to school and enjoying breakfast together as well as doing their absolute best in the tests.

As historians this week, Pegasus class held a debate to discuss which was the best Ancient Greek state to live in and why. In groups, the children researched each ‘polis’ and presented their reasons to the rest of the class using sentence stems to develop their oracy skills.

As citizens, Orion class discussed how to keep themselves online and what information is available to help be aware of the content of online games.

Using the book ‘Wonder’ as inspiration, Orion class decided they wanted to share two things about themselves which the class didn’t already know – every single member of the class contributed and listened to the information shared.
